Six Things to Know 1. Anyone age 60 and older may apply. For couples, one person needs to be age 60 and the other at least age 55. Anyone age 55 and older may sign up for the priority wait list. For additional requirements, please contact the Sales & Marketing Office. 2. Moves average approximately three months, and Masonic Village has various resources to assist you. 3. With our convenient location and easy accessibility to downtown Pittsburgh and Interstate 79, we consider scheduled recreation trips part of local transportation. We also provide transportation services to medical appointments on a scheduled basis. 4. We know your pets are part of your family, and you may bring up to two into your new home. We’ll provide specific requirements based on your preferred residence. 5. Masonic Village is a type “A” Lifecare community. Residing in a Lifecare community ensures peace of mind by providing personal care and nursing services at the same basic monthly service fee you would be paying in retirement living. Financial and medical qualifications apply to the admissions process. 6. Garages, approximately 11 feet by 20 feet, are available for apartment residents for an additional fee and come equipped with electric door openers.

From the day you arrive, treatment is intensive. A team of physical, occupational and speech therapists; nurses; care managers; and social workers, under a physician’s direction, devise a program based on your needs and goals.

Support Home Care Services Whether you need 24-hour care after returning home from the hospital or Sturgeon Health Care Center, or need a companion while your spouse runs errands, personal services and care are available in the comfort of your home on a fee-for-service basis. Maintain a garden in a raised planter, or take part in fitness classes. Explore your creativity with ceramics, or reminisce and engage with music therapy. Take a trip to a baseball game, enjoy a visiting entertainer or attend a worship service. The Sturgeon Health Care Center includes private living spaces within homelike neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a large dining area, a parlor and a family room. Enjoy our spa featuring a bath with jets and a Europeanstyle shower. Additional indoor and outdoor areas enhance well-being.

Memory Support Care Those with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia receive compassionate care in two secure, supportive neighborhoods of the Sturgeon Health Care Center. Daily activities include socialization, recreation, dining, exercise and rest. Residences are tailored to maintain each individual’s dignity and respect in an environment that promotes memory stimulation and encourages feelings of self-worth.

Financial Assistance Financial assistance is available to those who qualify. To qualify, you’ll need to preserve your assets for your care and maintain your eligibility for Medicaid and other third-party reimbursement to cover the cost of your services. Our staff will help you identify all available financial assistance when needed.

Directions to Masonic Village From the South: Traveling North on I-79, take Exit 66 (Sewickley/Emsworth). Coming off the ramp, bear left to the Glenfield Exit. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Deer Run Road. Go approximately one mile to the top of the hill. Just before the Aleppo Township Building on the right, turn left. At the stop sign, turn left onto Merriman Road. The entrance (Masonic Drive) to the Masonic Village is 300 feet on the right. Proceed on Masonic Drive, following signs to desired location. From the North: Traveling south on I-79, take Exit 66 (Sewickley/Emsworth). Turn left onto Glenfield Road. Go approximately ½ mile and turn right onto Deer Run Road. Go approximately one mile to the top of the hill. Just before the Aleppo Township Building on the right, turn left. At the stop sign, turn left onto Merriman Road. The entrance (Masonic Drive) to the Masonic Village is 300 feet on the right. Proceed on Masonic Drive, following signs to desired location. From Ohio River Boulevard: When traveling north, turn left onto the I-79 North exit; then turn right at the stop sign onto Kilbuck Street. When traveling south, turn left onto the I-79 North exit; then turn left at the stop sign onto Kilbuck Street. Go approximately ¼ mile, then turn left onto Deer Run Road. Go approximately one mile to the top of the hill. Just before the Aleppo Township Building on the right, turn left. At the stop sign, turn left onto Merriman Road. STEP 2: We will send you an application to complete and return within 14 days. STEP 3: Within seven days of receiving your application, we’ll follow up with any additional questions or recommendations. STEP 4: Upon approval of your application, we’ll send a copy of the resident agreement for you to review, sign and return within two weeks. Upon signing the resident agreement, 10% of the entrance fee (minus the application deposit) is payable on your reserved residence. If you decide not to continue with the application process, following a seven-day rescission period, we will refund your 10% payment (minus the application deposit). Within 90 days of signing the resident agreement, or upon occupancy, whichever is sooner, the entrance fee is due. Within 60 days, or upon occupancy, whichever is sooner, the first monthly service fee is due.

Priority Wait List Application If you’d like to plan for the future, you may submit an application for our priority wait list. Include a $1,000 deposit to place your name on this list. We’ll credit this amount toward your application deposit. We’ll notify you when your residence is available, at which point an additional deposit is due.
